Greece killed in Videogame

It is interesting that when a country like Greece faces a high debt deficit – it is immediately regarded as an infected country – whereas a country like the US with a 12 trillion dollar debt – can without problems maintain its ‘financial position’ in the world.

This as an obvious indicator that the economy isn’t real.

There is now a popular trend that Greece should leave the Euro and possibly return to a national currency, which is causing alarm from the other European countries, as that could affect the whole euro-project.

Yet what is missed within all this, is that fundamentally this will change nothing – as the replacement of one currency with the other will not remove the agreed upon existence of the debt cycle.

For instance: In 2001 Goldman Sachs made a deal with Greece which resulted in a debt of 2.8 Billion euros + 600 million euro to be repaid additionally. Such a contract has by law real physical consequences  as there will be unimaginable amounts of labor and suffering necessary to ever be able to repay such a debt. This while the transaction itself only involved playing with numbers and digits in computers – almost like a video game.

If I now say that the whole economy is actually a video game – it becomes easy to see the messed up nature of what we as humanity are actually accepting and allowing.

Instead of realizing that the rules of this game are up to each and every single being to co-determine through collective agreement, as each one is equally being affected by it, we have accepted the rules of the game as Holy and have come to accept even the most debased agreements in the name of the Holy rules of the game. Why is the existence of debt being accepted as if it is real? Why are no economists standing up and calling the current system a scam?

If Greece were to leave the euro and return to a national form of currency – this would merely put Greece back into another level of the same video game.

The point that must be understood is that money itself has no intrinsic value. An example to prove  this is that banks are by law permitted to lend out 10 times the actual amounts of credit they have in reserve, which is called fractional reserve banking. On top of that they are entitled to interest upon this non-existent money. Lending is therefore always a fictional operation – yet with real physical consequence to the other party.

The only solution to end the current financial crisis is move away from the current accepted form of money in every way – and to create a new monetary system.

A new agreement must be made that makes money a trustworthy tool that can be used to support all human beings on this planet – instead of it being an unpredictable weapon for greed and control which only benefits a minority and impoverishes and abuses and harasses the large majority. More than half the world at this very day exists in poverty  with 1 billion going to sleep every night on an empty stomach – while there are and for a long time have been more than enough resources in this world to feed and support everyone, as is stated on paper by the United Nations Food and Agriculture organization.

It is time to stop pretending that we don’t have an answer while the answers are right here. Investigate the Equal Money system and see how that will change and transform the experience of life on Earth – as it will guarantee an equal income and equal support to every human being born on this planet, with the resources and the knowledge that are already here.

Best for all is not Priority in Ghent

 

Last week we received two different brochures in the mailbox where one was originating from the town administration, sharing the great achievements that had been done for the town of Ghent in terms of leisure projects and public construction, which are all points that are said to add to the value of Ghent as a place to live – while the other brochure was amongst others exposing how the town administration was actually wasting money on such projects while the town is actually facing a growing number of people who are no longer able to afford normal living conditions, such as paying for a decent place to live – and pointing out that the town marketing is misdirecting the budget for projects that should not be given priority and that only add to the market value of Ghent, while a large portion of it’s inhabitants are deliberately being neglected and considered to be of no value.   

What is striking is that when one would receive only the first brochure which glorifies the town achievements one would really believe that Ghent is a beautiful and benevolent place. Yet, when checking the reality behind this picture, one will find that this effort to build a great picture is the result of a deliberate choice to not support everyone equally but instead choose for quick glory and personal gratification.

How can one claim that poverty and inequality are ‘difficult issues’ – while at the same time millions are being wasted for the pleasure and entertainment of that portion of the population who live above a certain level of comfort? Isn’t this the most backwards reasoning possible?

Clearly this shows that what is valued and ‘cared for’ is money, and not the inhabitants. If the inhabitants were placed first all the money would first be allocated according to who needs it the most, and then if there is something left one could look at entertainment.

This issue reflects a serious problem in the common sense of Humanity – as the numbers of worldwide poverty rare showing, where incredible reasons are given as to why it is ‘difficult’ to for instance end world poverty and world hunger, while at the same time exorbitant amounts of money are being spent everywhere around the world just for entertainment and even downright harmful means.

If all of humanity were to agree on one simple thing, namely what is priority in the context of what is best for everyone together – then it is clear and obvious to me that the greatest issues of suffering and inequality in this world would be able to be sorted out in no time. As it has already been noted, with the US’s yearly military spending alone one could feed and educate the whole world for many many years.

Such forms of abuse should be exposed in all possible ways to show that none of the atrocities humanity is now busy justifying at great length (this in itself also costs a lot of money!!!), are necessary in any way whatsoever and that they only exist because no one is willing to go against the flow of greed and self-interest to bring common sense to the world. Imagine: every day 1 billion people go to sleep with an empty stomach. What if that was you – would you not agree that humanity as a whole is absolutely fucked up? Would you not insist that first everyone needs to be taken care of in their basic needs before attention is given to secondary needs? Wouldn’t you say WTF ???!!!!.

Consider that a change in the system is possible to End this suffering and abuse. Investigate Equal Money, as an actual solution and a new starting point for this world, based on priorities in the context of what is best for all.

Waiting for Superman: Moviereview

I had the opportunity to see the documentary Waiting for Superman a while ago, which talks about the American school system and exposes the mechanisms that keep the quality of education in America in a very bad state.

A large amount of numbers are shown in this movie to establish that yes, the United States are dealing with a serious problem throughout their education, causing massive amounts of children to drop out of school and causing the overall population to be poorly educated.

Then they take a look at what the reasons for this could be, because on the one hand they have these very bad figures, while on the other hand they do have schools that seem to work comparatively better, where new forms of learning are able to be tested out and children systematically produce better results.

What is ultimately asserted as the main cause for this problem is that under the American school system it is extremely difficult to get a schoolteacher fired. There had been some attempts by certain politicians to effect change by firing large amounts of teachers who were known to not do their job properly – yet what they faced was a heavy procedure that made this nearly impossible. This procedure in turn is the work of the teacher-Unions, who initially had tried to ‘protect’ teachers and ‘stand up for the rights of teachers’.

So, the point of the teacher-contract and the teacher-unions are pointed at as the cause why the public school system in America is ‘unable to improve’ – however what is missed within this, is that there is yet a deeper factor which determines the behavior of the teacher-unions and the apparent greed of the teachers. This is the socio-economic factor. Namely: it is not questioned that it is normal for a person to be able to get fired from their job and then simply be without income.

In other words: the cause of the bad public school system in America is not due to the teacher Unions per say, but due to the acceptance of a system in which one need to wage labor in order to have access to money to be able to survive. Hence, it is the consequence of the de-valuation of life which is expressed through our current economic system.

Imagine what would happen to schools if the teacher was not standing there because he/she needs money to pay his/her bills? But instead ONLY because he/she is motivated to the bone to find the best possible way to teach the children some skills that will make them more self-responsible and self-reliable human beings. There seem to exist teachers who really ‘love their job’ – but as the documentary proves that is not enough to produce decent overall education. As long as the primary motivation for teaching is money – one will not be able to trust public schooling.

Hence it is clear that the poor education in America is but merely a facet of a much bigger problem, namely the socio-economic system that not only America – but, by now, pretty much the whole world have agreed upon. A system in which only half of the world is supported and the rest is either existing in poverty or either experiencing downright starvation.  

It is clear that public schooling is not here to benefit the children – because if that were the case the children would have been able to question the system, and as they grow older, decide that an alternative must be created. Instead as is shown in the documentary, they are demoralized and pushed to ‘give up’.  

Only when the socio-economic foundation of the system is replaced with one of Equal Unconditional support for all, will it be possible to start looking at education for real – because now every and all decisions made in this world are governed by money – and never by what is best for the child.

The Desire for Fame in an Equal Money System

I was looking at the desire for fame and how this currently exists in the world.

I then asked myself, will such desire still exist in and Equal Money System? And if not – then why not?

I came to the conclusion that the desire for fame as it currently exists, actually expresses lack of self-acceptance. In fact, a form of absolute self-worthlessness – that one will try to compensate through the desire to be or become famous.

When looking at the question of self-value – one must look at: what is the thing that is most valued in today’s world? What is the thing that everyone in this world is striving to get? The answer to that is money. Thus through looking at how money is allocated you can see what is regarded as worthwhile and what is seen as worthless.

The fact that a baby born into this world does not automatically receive money as support, shows that the being born in this world is regarded as worthless. This may shock you as this is not how things are generally presented. In general, it is said that a baby is a new life and is ‘precious’ beyond anything. Yet, this is mere lip service and actually deception. Have a look: there is no system in place that makes sure there is more than enough money in place to welcome all the newly born children in this world. Instead the care for the newly born child is completely left up the financial capacity of the parents/caretakers – which in a few cases may mean the child will grow up in an environment of wealth and abundance – or, in most cases: it will mean the child will grow up in an environment of poverty and deprivation. As it stands currently, there are more than 20.000 children starving from hunger and preventable diseases every day. More than 3 billion people in the world are living below the poverty line and one billion go to sleep every night with an empty stomach. 

How can a child develop self-worth – when they are made clear that they do not deserve food to support themselves and that it doesn’t matter to the world whether they exist or not?

The middle class is just as affected by this, because you will note that the fact that a child does not receive unconditional support through a system of equal care for all – will cause back-chat in the minds of the parents where they start developing animosity towards the child, because ‘the child cost them so much money’. This in turn is the source of child abuse and domestic violence – because the parents start feeling like a slave to the child – and then will start abusing it. This abuse can be physical but also mental – through words and manipulation.

Thus, it is clear that the current money system is actually a system of hate and separation – and that human beings are simply not given the space to develop in a stable manner.

So – imagine now if from the start the child is welcomed with joy – and this joy is expressed through an unconditional grant that is made available to support every child. Will money ever be an issue that can be used against the child?  No. It will be made clear to EVERY CHILD BORN IN THIS WORLD that they are welcome and deserve to exist and to be supported.

Imagine that.

This is basic common sense.

A child will thus develop self-acceptance and self-worth much more easily – and it will also have an immediate sense of respect for all Life – because it was treaded as an equal part of life from day one, and thus to be ‘generous’ towards Life will be much easier.

Hence, the desire for fame will most likely fade in an equal money system – because through the platform of equal money for all, self-acceptance and self-worth will be able to be developed very effectively in children.

This doesn’t mean that there will not be any beings who are not ‘well known’ in an Equal Money system – though this will not come forth out of a desire for recognition, it will instead exist based on someone’s commitment and self-responsibility as an equal member of the system.  

Clearly, someone who has not sorted out their self-acceptance and self-value issues, should not be allowed anywhere near any position of responsibility – as their actions will simply be ego-based and not best for all, as can be seen for instance with politicians in today’s world.

Jose Graziano de Silva and Ending World Hunger

This is a quote taken from Jose Graziano de Silva’s submission program – who has now taken the office of Director General in the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

“During its 65 years of life, FAO can claim to have contributed to a remarkable growth in food output. Average per capita food availability has risen by 40%. Enough food is now being produced to meet the needs of all of the world’s population that has risen in the past 65 years from 2.5 billion to almost 7 billion.

This success in expanding food output, however, has not been enough to overcome hunger. One in seven people in the world – almost one billion people – face hunger every day of their lives, and almost 3 billion more are affected by malnutrition, including health-damaging malnutrition caused by over-consumption of food. In other words, over half of the world’s population suffers from not eating properly. People are hungry, not so much because of lack of food availability, but mainly because they cannot afford the food they need for a healthy and productive life.”

The statement is clear: there is enough food for everyone – but everyone doesn’t have enough money to buy food.

The solutions in Graziano’s program indicate that he is not considering a change in the economic system as a way to change this situation.

So, I will place some perspectives here for anyone involved in governments, NGO’s or international organizations, that should by now be part of your consideration. The points I will discuss are the Basic Income Grant (BIG) and the Equal Money System (EMS).

Simplistically, BIG is a system based on redistribution of money – where the redistribution is done within the bounds and parameters of the current economic and monetary system. Under the BIG system every person in the world has the right to a basic unconditional income to cover all their basic needs. As can be seen from the quote taken from Graziano’s program – (“People are hungry, not so much because of lack of food availability, but mainly because they cannot afford the food they need for a healthy and productive life.”) – this would in effect give everyone access to food and end hunger in the world. 

The decision to implement such a social program – would be a political matter that requires world consensus. Yet, with half the world already being malnourished, it will not be too hard to find a majority who will demand equal access to basic needs, through a BIG system.

An Equal Money system goes completely beyond that – and involves a total transformation of social, political, and economic structures. Here the monetary system itself is replaced with a new monetary system – where money is no longer based on debt – but is simply made available as an abundant resource so that any project that is best for all can always be ‘sponsored’.  Under Equal Money every person in the world is supported from birth till death – to never in their life experience any form of deprivation.

These are practically feasible solutions for this world one should investigate – if one is really serious about creating a better world for All.

It should be clear by now that within the bounds of the current economic system – there will not be any change forthcoming that can stand the test of time. Hence why we propose that BIG should be used as a means to transition towards an EMS. The collapse of the current economic system is inevitable and world hunger will only escalate as long as one try and find solutions while trying to honor this system. With half the world being malnourished – we can say the current system is a holocaust and should therefore no be honored. 

I suggest one investigate BIG and EMS in considerable depth – you may be astounded at the simplicity of it all, and how come you never even heard about it.

Politics and Media in an Equal Money System

In an Equal Money System ‘politicians’ as such will not exist – but there will be positions that need to be taken where a certain level of responsibility is required.  These positions will be filled based on democratic elections – and the best way to describe such a function would be that of an ‘administrator’ rather than a ‘leader’. An important aspect of such a function is that one will only be allowed to do it for 1 term – which would be 1 or 2 years, after which a new administrator is elected to take over your function, after which one will not be allowed to pose as candidate for administrator again. This is to make sure that there is never any possibility for misuse of power – and it also makes clear where the focus must lie: on the principle, not on the personality.

Remember that in an equal Money System everyone will be supported from birth to become a fully self-responsible and effective living being. Hence there will be no requirement for leadership as it exists today – because that is in fact based on separation where the majority have abdicated their responsibility towards their reality and towards the whole world to a select group of people, to have them be responsible, and who are then given carte blanche to abuse in the name of ‘the common good’.

In an Equal Money system great responsibility will be expected from everyone – because only when taking responsibility for oneself and one’s world – can one really be an honorable being. Therefore the current system of politics and entertainment is a system that promotes dishonor, limitation and slavery. To give away one’s responsibility is an act of fear – because one is unwilling to face that self- is in fact responsible. Is it then such a mystery that in today’s world everyone blames the politicians and the elite?  Blame is much easier than taking responsibility – and it also indicates that self is still unwilling to take responsibility and will divert all attention from this fact through blaming another.

In an Equal Money System such behavior will not be accepted – and all will be supported to face their inner demons and learn to take responsibility for themselves and their reality.  What is currently being tested and explored within the Desteni I process is already showing that it is possible for a being to take directive charge of themselves and their lives – and that one can learn how to stop ones self-obsessed way of existing and that it is possible to live in a way that is considerate of others as equal as self. 

In an Equal Money system there will be no separation between ‘politicians’ and ‘the public’ – because everyone will simply be empowered to take responsibility wherever they can. This will in turn make the media as it currently exists obsolete because the media has mainly existed as a tool or a medium that stood in between the public and the politicians – a tool that does not exist for the purpose of providing clarity and clear communication, but to divert attention and hide the real important issues.

In an Equal Money system the administrators will not have to be worried about what the media will say about them – as the media will no longer be an institution based on manipulation, gossip and profit, but instead be a collaboration of people, based on real interest and passion, on how to organize and disseminate information locally and all around the world. Within this the emphasis will be to allow for all perspectives to equally be heard and equally be accessible. This will be done through giving everyone in fact equal access to the same technology that allows for such communication to exist. The way to do that is by giving everyone Equal Money from birth to death.  No more marginalization.

What must be considered within this is that ‘free access’ to goods and products does not come without responsibility. In the current consumerist system everyone with enough money can give themselves access to a product or technology – without any self-responsibility of the ‘consumer’ being required as such. Thus, someone can buy a product, without taking full responsibility for it, because after one has acquired ‘ownership’ of the product, being the owner implies that one can dispose of the product as one pleases, which implies that one have ‘the right’ and the ‘free choice’ to for instance be careless with it or to use it in an abusive manner.  This kind of abuse will no longer be tolerated in an Equal Money system, because it extends to all areas where a sense of ‘ownership’ exists: it will bring with it ‘the right to abuse’. This is also clear in relations between parents and children for instance, where the parents perceive the child is in a way their property. This point however will be developed in more depth in another article. Let’s for the moment return to the point of politicians.

In an Equal Money system a ‘politician’ will simply be a servant – a guardian of the system – who makes sure that in the first place the Equal Money System keeps running, so that everyone is at all times supported,  and secondly ensures the administration of all the collective decision making processes on how the system can be improved.

Practically this means that he or she will have to administer online forums that are accessible to all and anyone.  In these forums suggestions will be shared in a structured manner so that each participant is able to asses whether what is said is best for all or if it requires improvement to be able to stand as a the solution to a problem or as a viable alternative to an already existing approach. This means that there will be communication regulations one have to adhere to, to make the process as effective as possible. For instance one will have to explain the problem, why or where the current solution is not yet best for all – and how the new solution is superior to the old one in that it solves more problems and is more beneficial to all participants.

Hence one must understand that all political decisions will be made in complete openness where the process of how a decision was made can completely be traced back in all its steps.

The role of the media in this regard will be limited – as there will be no more ‘secrets’ to reveal or hidden plots to expose. Hidden politics will simply not be allowed. Everything must always immediately be shared in a public forum so that there is full transparency at all times.

What will happen to the Vatican and the Pope in an Equal Money system ?

At the moment the Vatican is literally a state within a state – an entity with it’s own government and its own ‘guard’– where the pope holds the ‘power’ of an ‘absolute monarch’ – combining executive, legislative and judicial power, which makes him the last remaining ‘absolute monarch’ in Europe.

Therefore within an Equal Money system – from a legal perspective – the Vatican will be ‘dissolved’, just like all other borders and nations.

The papacy will be ‘deleted’ as a position because it is not best for all but only best for the few. The pope will be asked to ‘step down’ and stand equal.  

In an Equal Money System everyone is supported from birth till death – this will show humanity that they are actually able to take responsibility for their own world – and that there is no need to stand inferior to some imaginary God one apparently need to feel protected and cared for. Humanity will be supported by their neighbor – and through the labor one give – one will always equally receive. And through the Equal Money System Humanity will be their own God.

The whole system will be geared towards empowering each one to stand as a self-responsible equal. Equal in knowledge, equal in understanding, equal in money, equal in power, equal in self-dignity and self-respect. With the tools of self-forgiveness and self-honesty it will be shown that there is no part of reality that self is unable to take responsibility for – and thus, that there is no need for Gods and religious institutions. The focus will be physical reality and the development of effective common sense to live and interact in a way that is best for all.

The buildings in the Vatican will have to be assessed as to what can be done with them. If it is practical then I would suggest the interiors be converted to habitations that are part of the basic support for all.  

This will show that greed and inequality are no longer accepted and that all Life must be honored Equal.

Will inmates be freed overnight when the Equal Money System is implemented?

What needs to be understood when answering this question – is that laws in the current system are written to protect the system and never to support the individual. They only have a function and purpose in the current system – where the starting point is survival and the struggle for money.

What will happen with the implementation of the Equal Money system is that most of the laws that currently exist  – will be deleted as they have no purpose in the new system.

For instance, with inmates that have ‘broken the law’ in the previous system such as in the case of ‘theft’ – when it can easily be assessed that the person was only acting out of necessity in the system to survive; such a person will be rehabilitated when the new system is implemented. In fact all ‘crimes’ that have been committed in the old system that were motivated by money and survival will rather quickly be rehabilitated.

The reason for this is that the ‘danger’ they allegedly presented to society – was really an outflow of the conditions set by the system. To give one example: with the amount of money that is currently in circulation as currency – there is actually not enough to pay off all the debt in the world. To, within such conditions uphold a system of laws as apparent morality and justice in which the individual is to blame for his desperate behavior – is pure cruelty and unacceptable abuse.

The criterion is very simple: would the ‘crime’ have been able to be committed in an Equal Money system, where every being is supported from birth to never in their life have to experience scarcity or any form of material lack? If the answer is ‘no’ (because why would the person steal money from their neighbor if everyone is monthly receiving the exact same amount of money with which they can largely cover their basic needs?) – then clearly we are dealing with a case of provocation on the part of the system – and the supporters of this system should then be held accountable and not the individual who merely suffered a mathematical outflow of the conditions set in this system. 

So, this is with regards to crimes that were committed, but where it can be determined that they weren’t actually crimes, because every person – given the circumstances – would have acted in exactly the same manner.

Other crimes where the link between the act on the one hand and the context of money and survival on the other hand is less apparent – will need more scrutiny. In some cases, the conclusion will be the same as in the above examples – in others the conclusion will be that the person actually requires assistance to stop their harmful behavior, which means the person is to participate in a ‘self-responsibility program’ – where they learn to stop themselves from harming others. This can be in the context of rape-, and violence- and murder cases.

Another example would be drug abuse. A large portion of today’s inmates are incarcerated for drug related crimes. If we are speaking about crimes resulting out of a drug addiction as such then clearly the person must prove that they are able to stand clear from the addiction – which must be done under supervision, after which rehabilitation can ensue. If the drug crime was merely a way to get money without drug addiction being involved as such then immediate rehabilitation should also be considered, because there is really no difference between selling alcohol on market or selling heroine – and bartenders are not put to prison.

In an Equal Money System the focus will change from incarceration and monetary fines as a penal system to re-education through re-education centers. A re-education center is a place where a person is placed to get support with stopping their destructive behavior.   

The starting point of an equal money system is self-responsibility of the individual. This means that a person will always first be supported to take responsibility for themselves and come to a self-directed change – instead of being judged and condemned a priori. The way a person will be assisted is through being offered a total training in self-forgiveness and self-corrective action – under supervision, until the person has proven that they can live and work together with other people in a dignified manner.

If such change however does not come about then the person has actually made a statement that they are unwilling to take responsibility for themselves and that they are unwilling to change.

In such case they have actually given up their right to self-determination and can thus be put away as per their own permission. This is a matter of common sense: if a person keeps repeating the same patterns of abuse – such as raping children – even after an opportunity is given for self-change through self-forgiveness and self-corrective action – and still the person continues, then there is no point in keeping the person around and there is no more forgiveness.

In an Equal Money system actual justice and fairness will exist because everyone will receive an equal opportunity and an equal start in the system.  This will be ensured through equal access to education, equal access to housing, equal access to electricity, equal access to food, equal access to clothing, etc. for everyone. Everyone will receive equal unconditional support. Therefore no one will be able to claim that they were disadvantaged as an excuse for abusive behavior – and the measures that are in such cases imposed on an individual such as re-education will then be justified.

The conclusion is therefore that crime in an EMS will greatly diminish – as the inequalities that were causing violence and crime will be removed. Equal Money Ends all slavery – and therefore there will be no more suppressed injustice – with every participant being supported and given attention as an equal.

Secret Life of Japan

I found a documentary online, “Secret Life of Japan” which I recommend everyone to watch.  It tells the story of how economic insecurity is driving high numbers of people in Japan to suicide (more than 33.000 every year). People lose their jobs due to “restructuring” of the companies and become marginalized, being unable to find new jobs or financial support.

It showed how a high level executive ended up as a bum in the park – showing how this can happen to anyone.

In a related documentary, “Aokigahara: the suicide Forest”, it is reported how every year up to a hundred people in Japan go to the forest Aokigahara and never come back.

Japan is not alone in this, a similar situation exists in India – where regions are hit with high numbers of farmer suicides due to poverty and more specifically being in debt. “Secret Life in Japan” showed how debt was a factor as well in most suicide-cases – where people simply see no other way but to end their lives, regardless of family and children.

Japan suicides are but one example of the outflows of the current system – that is operating in exactly the same way everywhere in the world. The foundation of this is the money system that is based on survival and debt. The money that comes into circulation always has negative value – it is already debt from the start – because that is how the system was arranged and agreed upon on paper. (Did you know that?) The current money-system in fact expresses humanity’s agreement that life is worthless, because there is never enough money for everyone to pay off their debts. This is why currently half the world is poor, with 20.000 children starving each day and 1 billion going to sleep every night with an empty stomach.

There is no actual scarcity, only lack of money.

Did you know that there is largely sufficient capacity to feed, clothe, educate and support every human being on earth – to the extent that everyone could lead a dignified and wealthy life?

Leave the Furniture !

I’m now in the process of looking for a new apartment and I’d like to share an observation I made after having visited several different apartments/houses.  

So, it happened a couple of times that I would enter an apartment/house and would think to myself that the space is actually nicely furnished – in terms of the furniture being chosen to fit with the interior. However – people have this thing that when they leave a place and move to the next – they take all their furniture with them… I find this impractical for more than one reason, because now everyone who move is taking their furniture with them all the time – from one place to the next: every time emptying the house as much as possible, taking everything that is not attached to the walls and taking it with – leaving empty rooms that need to be completely refurnished for them to be habitable.

So, it occurred to me that people are only doing this because they believe their furniture is precious and more valuable than that of others – and because they know that if they’re going to enter a new place the old inhabitants will have taken all their furniture away as well – such a sad story !

How I see it is it would be far more practical if everyone just leave their furniture where it is – because it was most often than not specifically chosen to fit with a particular interior – where one would then know that wherever one go – the former inhabitants will have left all their furniture in the house. Because what is the point of everyone every time taking all their furniture with like weasels? It just make it impractical for everyone – I say leave the furniture !  Stop being a spoiler !

The reason why this point is now part of culture is because furniture is regarded as ‘capital’ as well – and because capital is scarce, one should ‘hold on’ to one’s capital. It’s like people are still nomads – travelling around with their furniture, without even realizing this – fascinating….
